Hello
For about a week now I have noticed that windows defender has been alerting me about startup folder changes
There is something creating exe's, usually 3 at a time with a random letter combination for a name
after scanning the system with malwarebytes I have removed all except trojan.refroso
Every time I remove it and reboot trojan.refroso comes back, even without an internet connection
It is creating files in my \Local Settings\Temp folder
Right now I have ~DFC049.tmp and a couple others with similar names
Malwarebytes finds them and deletes them but they keep coming back with similar names
I can't find anything obvious in the registry but I am not 100% sure what I should be searching for
Can I delete the contents of the Temp folder without crashing the PC?

Please help me to find what is producing these files in my \Local Settings\Temp and startup folder!
I am running windows XP with all service packs and updates intalled

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
