temperamental computer

this computer is fine as an Emachine but as soon as u watch a video online like anything on utube the hard drive starts working like crazy and the sound on the video sounds like a really really bad stutter and the video either gets choppy or just stops.

I can post info on request as i am not sure what info is needed, 32 year old male borrowing his dads computer but trying to fix it!

can you post some specs?

The first two recommendations I would make is RAM and Video card. Those devices can have a good impact on the overall system performance.

How much RAM?

What type of Internet connection?

Tried running chkdsk /r on the hard drive...then defragging same?

What model eMachines system?
