Program Load Order @ Start Up

how do I set the order that my programs start at boot up? example load zone alarm then norton then then spyware stop etc.

There really is no way to do that unfortunately. There are certain registry keys that load programs before other keys, but I would not recommend doing that as it can cause problems. For the most part, programs load synchronously, or at the same time.

My reason to want to control the loading order is.... when norton av does not load first windows security warns me that norton av is turned off. When the warning goes away i click on norton icon and it says auto protect is activated!

I guess I will just have to click the icon to check.

Try this: Go into the Windows Security Center

Start > Control Panel > Security Center

Under Virus Protection click on "Recommendations..."

Put a check in the box next to: "I have an antivirus program that I'll monitor myself..."

I think that will turn off Windows alerts concerning your anti virus.
