Hello

I am having issues in a Windows vista computer.

Upon initial boot-up of the computer. When I start Firefox for the first time. Sometimes and most of the times...There is a blank web-page that comes up.

This is its root directory:
file:///C:/Users/Raymac%20Grinding/AppData/Local/Temp/Magentic/..File here..

There is many files at the end of the /Temp/Magnetic/

What can I do to stop these files from coming up?

It seems the files are store in the temp file. Even do I clean the temp file, upon boot-up there is files there that cause the blank page. Where are they coming from?
I know they installed a program called Magnetic which comes with this other program for e-mail..
Please help....
Thanks

I am a computer scientist and checked a PC with Vista yesterday with the very same problem (home edition, french, incredimail installed). When the page is blank, you can right-click on it, go to properties and see that it is a mostly empty html file that belongs to Magentic. You can ALT-SPACE and close the window or WINDOWS+D to get the desktop. Then uninstall Magentic or tell it to avoid starting when windows starts and kill the process or it will generate another HTML file and display it on your screen.
Don't forget to clean all the messy HTML files generated. I don't know why this program has that behavior.

So you might want to uninstall 'Magnetic' or prevent it from associating itself with Firefox or any other browser.

Download FoxScan from HERE, or HERE
Double click on FoxScan.exe to start the scan.
DOS-like window will pop-up.
Press 2 for English. Press Enter.
Be patient. It'll take few minutes.
When the tool is done, it'll display:

Search completed.
Press any key to coninue...

Press any key.
Notepad window titled Rapport-FS.txt will open.
Save the file to known location, and attach it to your next reply.

@JUICYboy

1. Uninstall IncrediMail (Control Panel)
2. Uninstall Magnetic (Control Panel)
3. Open Firefox: Tools > Options > General > Startup > When Firefox starts : show a blank page > OK

4. Install IncrediMail, if necessary

You could also look through the list of startup programs and uncheck any instance of 'Magnetic'.
Start > Run > MSCONFIG > Startup > *instance of magnetic* > uncheck > Apply > OK

Last but not the least, Magnetic exists in the form of mgapp.exe, so try to search for any such instances.

Give this scan a try too.

Good luck!
