i have been trying to reset my homepage for 2 wks now. i use windows 2000 and read some other help forums and tried going into reglite.exe but i only have HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion,
not a "windows" folder after that with "appinit_dlls" as was mentioned in the posting.

below is my hijackthis log, if somebody could please help me it would be greatly appreciated. also i have recently lost my operating system disk so i am unable to use it as a tool to fix this wretched problem (sorry in advance for the inconvenience  ).
