i have just reinstalled windows 7 64bit on my acer aspire 5251 laptop

i need someone to help me install the Network Controller Driver

Hi the link below takes you to acer driver download select notebooks>aspire>5251 it will display drivers and download the broadcom Lan driver it is zipped.

Do you not have driver disk supplied with your new Laptop as you should be able to install your network controller driver (Broadcom Lan Driver) off the cd/dvd.

no i do not have a cd but i have download the Lan_Broadcom_12.4.1.0_W7x86W7x64_A and the Wireless LAN_Atheros_9.0.0.163_W7x86W7x64_A but it still wont install can you do this for me over remote access with teamveiwer

1. Use a program like WinZip/WinRAR to extract the contents of Lan_Broadcom_12.4.1.0_W7x86W7x64_A.zip and Wireless LAN_Atheros_9.0.0.163_W7x86W7x64_A.zip.

2. Look for a SETUP.exe file in each folder and run the same, to install the driver successfully.

Simple as that! :huh:

What kind of disk was used to reinstall Windows?
You may need to install chipset driver.
What was the reason for reinstall?

you guys can close down this topic now.


im going need the recovery console for my laptop to fix this because i did a complete reinstall and loss and missed up an corrupted my drivers
