ok i am planning to downgrade my netbook from windows 7 starter to vista temporarily because of all the junk thats on it from when i purchased the netbook. i am planning to put windows 7 back on there eventually when my friend buys his windows 7 disc. i read on the net that the two os's are basically the same but wasnt sure if the windows 7 drivers would work on vista. im not putting vista on until i am for sure the drivers wiill work for vista but any of your peoples' help will help me greatly. :note: they said that vista drivers work on windows 7 but i dont know if it can go the other way around.

You may have other issues to consider besides drivers. Your Starter activation key may not work on the Home Premium edition. Also, if you have a recovery partition, it will restore your machine to Starter, not Home Premium. There may be other files and utilities in OEM versions of which you are not aware.

How about removing them?
Uninstall all the software suites/applications you don't need.
