Latest FireFox with 64 bit Windows 7.
It only happens on facebook, and it is annoying.
I open firefox, and I go to facebook, First off, the logon screen. About 5 Milimeters is missing off the top of the logon screen. I can only see half of the Username and Password Areas. The FACEBOOK Logo is not there, it should be, and I fear there are other pictures on the logon page that are missing too.

I can log in, but more issues ensue. Lets start with the main facebook page, the one you get on when you login, the friend feed page?
Yea, Okay lets start at the top.
Im missing the facebook logo, the friend request logo, the mail logo, and the notifications logo. They are still there, you just cant see them.
Now for Chat.
Can't see smileys, can't see the Grey or Green dot, or the Gray Moon. (Like, I'll be talking to somebody, but there wont be anything next to their name to indicate whether they are logged on, off, or are away...)
My chatbox area is grey, no matter what. and when I type into the chatbox, I am typing about 4 milimeters to the right, instead of at the beginning.

I'll take screenshots, if you want them just ask
(Please do tell me how to post pictures on here?)

I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. I've updated firefox, Ive downdated firefox...It's only on my computer! I fear it to be a registry issue of some sort.
I've been using chrome (I like that there are no toolbars, and theres less than an inch of space being used at the top. More page to see.)

******When I say how much physical space, the inches, centimeters, milimeters, I mean while I am using a 1366x768 Resolution.

Have you tried accessing FB in the Firefox Safe mode?

And yes, we would appreciate screenshots.

2. Upload them here

Try this.

On Firefox go to Tools -> Clear recent History, select "everything" in the drop down list and check every box. Go ahead and delete/clear everything, then close firefox.

Go to start -> run -> type cmd and press enter. then type ipconfig /flushdns

Re-open firefox.

try going to www.facebook.com and seeing what happens.

I get the screenshots in a sec.
Also, another issue with firefox. It is notably slower. Like, when I go to start firefox it is delayed, takes about 10 seconds, whereas on my mothers computer, it works fine, and its fast. On my computer it's working like internet explorer O_O
DNS Flush did not work.

I blacked out only pictures and names, and did not black out anything important.

Need me to go onto anymore pages, or to set up the page a certain way and then take another shot and do another upload, I will.

I have not tried in safe mode. I have cleared EVERYTHING multiple times. I have reinstalled multiple times, i did downgrades, upgrades...

As you can see in the one picture, there is no green dot next to online friends to indicate online status. Even the one chat Im in, there was no indicator of their status....

Hey,

I meant the "Firefox Safe mode".

Check out the 'safe mode' link I had posted earlier.

in FF safe mode, I can see more of the login page, but still, there are definitely missing icons and pictures.

and it cant be a full on Firefox issue can it?
I have gone on firefox on multiple computers (And Kubuntu) and have no problem with it.
It is just on my computer, and I have uninstalled, reinstalled, downgraded, upgraded. Everything. Im pretty sure the issue is hidden somewhere in Windows....and dont get Geek Squad on me and say "reformat" O_O

Try reloading the page by pressing ctrl+F5.

Emptying temporary folders and cookies might also help.

EDIT: Just to make this clear uninstalling Firefox will not automatically delete your profile and the personalized settings you made. So if it is a setting issue uninstall/ reinstall will not fix it.

Try also creating a new user profile: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_F...file_on_Windows

I have cleared the cookies, the temp files, the history, Ive reset firefox back to its original state with FF Safe mode, I doubt that creating a new ff prof will do anything.

worth a shot though.

Created the new file, and

Sir, I owe you one damn big cookie. Your advice fixed it!

Darn profile issues, hope Firefox gets their act together with v 4.0.

Good luck!
