Hi, I am not computer savvy by any means so I am here looking for some help. My laptop, a HP with Windows Vista, went kind of nuts yesterday. After surfing the web the screen did some wierd thing where it hazed over. It was almost like a weird cloud graphic thing moving all over the screen then it went black but kept doing the same thing slowly. I left it off all night turned it back on and it was fine, however after about an hour it did the same thing and cut off. Now when I try to turn the computer on it just keeps cutting off and on continously. I can't even get to any loading screens period to try anything.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a feeling the laptop is fried though haha. Thanks!

Hello and welcome to Bleepingcomputer.

Can you please supply us with the laptops model number.

A rough idea how many years you have been using this laptop.

We have to determine if your laptops display screen has failed, if there was an over heating issue, or if you encountered some sort of web site malware infection.

Bruce.

It is a HP dv9000. I think its maybe, oh lets say three years old at the most.

At first I thought maybe it was the screen going out, but that wouldn't cause the constant rebooting would it?
