Hi All

My nephew sent me a link for Hiren's boot cd. First I have heard of it. I have used Bart's boot disk. I am going to give it a try. Just wondering about it.

If you choose Hiren's, please be aware:

While this collection of tools can be very useful, potential users should note that many of the tools are commercial applications that have not been legally licensed for redistribution, and so download/use/sharing of Hiren's BootCD may be illegal (depending on your legal jurisdiction).

Note about Hiren's BootCD

Hiren contains copyrighted files owned by Microsoft and according to their EULA those are considered a license violation.

so, if I were you, just to be safe, use The Ultimate Boot CD for win. it's got some awesome and handy stuff when you get into a nasty fix. To download and read up, go to www.ubcd4win.com.
