My son has a Compaq laptop with AMD Athlon X2 and WIndows Vista
The computer will start and go to the desktop, and then the problems begin - in 4 types of displays

1. Security Warning - Application cannot be executed. The file (wuauclt.exe - or any other file I try to run) is infected. Do you want to activate your antivirus software now? (Yes/No buttons at bottom)

2. Windows Security Alert
Antivirus Software alrt (with 4-color shield at top left)
In large red band, white letters ATTENTION ! SPYWARE ALERT
Vulnerabilities found.
Your computer is infected by spyware - 34 serious threats have been found . . . A link, "Why do you need realtime spyware protection" then
Upgrade to full version etc etc buttons at bottom are "activate your antivirus software" and "stay unprotected"

3. Antivirus software alert with 4-color shield at top left, in red bar, bottom left of screen
Your computer is being attacked by an internet virus. It could be a password-sealing attack, a trojan - dropper or similar.

Attack from :, port 19939

I dont' have an attachment, can't run a log because it won't let anything run. Is there any hope?
Attacked port: 22115
Threat: Win32/Nugel.E
Do you want to block this attack
Yes/No buttons at bottom

4. Windows Security Alert
Application cannot be executed. The file wuauclt.exe is infected.
Do you want to activate your antivuris software now?

OK I got it, started in safe, removed Viewpoint, was able to run virus scanner and get rid of trojan afterward.
