I have installed new windows xp pro on my older computer and I get the "Disk Boot Failure Insert System Disk and Press Enter" message on startup.
However the system boots up fine when Windows Setup disk is in CD Rom.
If I leave the Windows Setup CD in CD Rom and it starts up I can take the Windows CD out of the computer and it works fine, can view internet websites, browse c: drive, etc
But when I try to boot up again same thing happens, can anyone give me some info how to resolve it?

You have checked the boot options in the BIOS?

I really have no idea why having an XP disk in the optical drive would make any difference at all..

System manufacturer and model?
