Following a recent PC crash i had to reinstall windows. after reinstal i had a short period online before reinstalling my firewall- and i got infected with spyware!!

I have the following problems:
Keyboard- some keys appear to have switched- for example when i type @ I get ". plus i cannot find the pound sign- its not where it says it is!

yupsearch.com toolbar- i HATE this thing!!

i keep getting spyware appearing in my start menu too- for example pokapoka76 and up32.pif so i'm booting up in diagnostic and unticking the known spyware.

i tried to run trendmicro scan but got a pop up message telling me trendmicro cannot run on this website???

I have installed and run adaware, spybot and microsoft antispyware beta. all found lots of things- but i still have problems

Hi,

The forums are really busy, that explains why logs get behind. We start with the oldest logs first. If you still need some help, please start with posting a new hijackthislog in this thread. Don't start with a new thread.
Then I'll take a look.

Also,
you didn't unzip/extract hijackthis.. and it's still in the tempfolder.
So I strongly advise to unzip/extract hijackthis.zip.
Read here how to unzip/extract properly:
http://metallica.geekstogo.com/xpcompressedexplanation.html
Create a permanent folder and move hijackthis.exe into it. The reason is because hijackthis creates backups and when it's in your temp-folder it can be accidentally deleted.
How do you make a permanent folder:

Click My Computer, then C:\ and then on Program Files.
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have C:\Program Files\HijackThis. Put your HijackThis.exe there.
