Hello, everybody. I am a new member of bleepin and I come here humbly seeking answers to my poor slow computer and looking for ways to best protect myself and my files from being infected again.

Could somebody please help steer me to finding SAFE downloads to scan my PC to see what ails it ?

Hello Martinsmadness and :thumbsup: to Bleeping Computer. Thanks for posting a hello. If you would like a starting point, dowload Malwarebytes Antimalware ( mbam )here http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Do a quick scan with mbam in normal mode then post the resulting log into a new topic in the Am I Infected? Forum where a first responder will reply to your topic.

Please take a few moments to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the forum works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There is a lot of very useful information there.
