I just became a member today about 3 hours ago because somehow I ended up reading somewhere about this place. My son introduced the Defense System bug to my computer somehow about 36 hours ago. He says he "didn't do anything." But, it was after I busted him at 1:20 a.m. in the morning on my computer yesterday that this dang bug showed up constantly asking me to install the Defense System malware remover and protection. Well I didn't want it and I knew it was a fake because my antivirus software kept saying it was fake and saying it was blocking it plus I had all these porn desktop icons that weren't there the day before, but somehow this crap was in my toolbar popping up about every 5 minutes "warning" me that my system was infected. Yeah with their infection!

I frustratingly tried to remove it yesterday to no avail. I began searching for options on the Windows website. I tried to download windows security updates but they wouldn't go through, I kept getting errors (this bug is smart). I downloaded some program from Windows that was supposed to get rid of the defense system bug but every time I ran it, about half way through the scan the computer would shut down (very smart bug). I downloaded trials from Spy Doctor and Ascentive but did not want to purchase anything because I feel as though my antivirus software should take care of this stuff and I shouldn't have to pay to fix it! Well, somehow I found Bleepingcomputer.com from reading about combofix (I think) I really can't remember how I ended up here but thank God I did! I spent about an hour and a half following the directions in one of the forums for removing the Defense System bug. Skeptical because everything else I tried kept getting booted off before it was finished, I followed the directions and voila! No more defense system bug! Thank you guys!!!!! I'm so relieved. What a frustrating past 36 hours! I am so glad you are here to help!
