I was able to download Spyware Doctor, but once I try to run it, a window pops up saying it needs to scan for the latest updates. After a few seconds it says, 'Error, Updates Failed.' Is there anything I can do about this?

I have also read that one can rename exe files like Malwarebytes to download them, so that the malware will not recognize and block them. How do I rename antimalware files I am trying to download?

Thank you

Well, if you're trying to download malwarebytes, then do the following:
1. When your browser asks you what to save the file as and what to call it, delete the text in the filename box and replace it with something like a random name like sp5l8, but do not change the extension! So the renamed file would look like the following: Sp5L8.EXE.
2. Make sure when saving the file, you point to the desktop in the location box.
3. Save the file. it should download then.
I can't give you instructions specific to a browser since I don't know which one you are working with in particular.

Hope this helps,
