I've got 3 PCs on a wired home network and within 2-3 days, all 3 have started getting redirected for various sites when clicking on links and most show a google.analytics.com in the status bar. This is affecting both IE and Firefox and we're running MBAM and SAS in conjunction with Norton AV/Internet Security, all with latest updates on 2 desktops with WinXP and a laptop with Win 7. None of the above have been able to find anything when run. Also, a floating green tab labeled 'connect' has been floating on the right hand side of browsers and a cursor on it give a javascript (void) message in the status bar. Any help would be welcome, thanks!

This is info for the Windows 7 laptop of the three running on a Network Everywhere Cable/DSL 4-Port Router NR041.

Trying to run GMER on this system yeilded NO log, as only the services, registry, files, c drive and ADS boxes were able to be selected.

  3. Tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
  4. Tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
  5. Do not run anything while running a fix.
  6. Do not run any other tool untill instructed to do so!

By doing this and then choosing Immediate E-Mail notification and then clicking on Proceed you will be advised when we respond to your topic and facilitate the cleaning of your machine.

Note** If you are having problems posting the complete log into this thread upload them here http://www.rapidshare.com/ and post the links in this thread

Please print out or make a copy in notpad of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.

Resetting Router

Letís try to reset the router to its default configuration.
  • This can be done by inserting something tiny like a paper clip end or pencil tip into a small hole labeled "reset" located on the back of the router.
  • Press and hold down the small button inside until the lights on the front of the router blink off and then on again (usually about 10 seconds).
  • If you donít know the router's default password, you can look it up. Here
  • You also need to reconfigure any security settings you had in place prior to the reset.
  • You may also need to consult with your Internet service provider to find out which DNS servers your network should be using or you can use OpenDNS

Note: After resetting your router, it is important to set a non-default password, and if possible, username, on the router. This will assist in eliminating the possibility of the router being hijacked again.

let me know if this clears it up
