So I just got a new wireless router (DLINK DIR-655) and I've got Time Warner Cable internet service (cable internet) and I can't get it to work. I've got four laptops (3 Vista and 1 using Windows 7) that I want to get on the wireless network and the only reason I've got internet on this laptop is because I have an ethernet cable connected to the wireless router.

When I tried connecting this laptop without the ethernet cable to the network, on the network list, it says "The setting saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network". Does that mean that I shouldn't be using DHCP or WPA or WPA2 or WEP...? @_@

I didn't have this kind of problem with the last wireless router (which was a DLINK DIR-600) but had to get a new one cuz it caught fire -_-'

Yeah that is not good! Ok I had an issue similar to this with Time warner cable, All i had to do was unplug the router and the time warner box and make sure both are connected the way they should be and then turn the Time warner box on and then ture the router on. :flowers:
