"Supports Intel® Core™2 Duo processor, Intel® Pentium® D processor, Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor with HT Technology ............

Now, that is from Intel referencing the 945G shipset. The problem is, this is an E-Machine, and there is no info (that I can find) that the BIOS supports anything more than what is already installed. In a perfect world, you should be able to install at least a Core2 Duo with up to a 1066 FSB.

How much memory do you have in this rig? If it is still 512 meg, and you are trying to run Vista, then we know where the problem lies, and it ain't with the CPU.

Green highlighting doesn't help.

3770K @4.5, Corsair H100, GTX780, 16gig Samsung, Obsidian 700 (yes there is a 700)
