ubuntu start up at run level 3

Hi,
thanks andrew again, Andrew, maybe you or somebody knows how to do this. I want to start up in run level 3 (command prompt) and then start my application.
It is a QT application and I don't want to run xwindows. would I still do what you suggested in the last post and also set the run level in another initialization file? thanks again.

Hi,

ubuntu switched from inittab to upstart quite some time ago (I think it was with the release of Dapper?).
