Hello

XP does not boot. HP laptop, XP with service pack 3
After HP ivent logo and options to enter set - blank screen with msg error press cntl/alt/del to restart.

Tried to boot from original XP system CD ( came with computer when new ). Get two messages " press any key to boot from CD" and "Setup inspecting your computer....".

Then a blank screen and nothing even after an hour.

Any ideas?

thanks
john
