When I attempt to press a single click with my mouse, at least half the time, it double clicks. This frequently causes unintended results. Sometimes it even makes using some web sites impossible. I have moved the control in the XP mouse controls all the way to the left without helping a bit. My mouse is a Logitech cordless USB mouse.
Any suggestions?

Sounds like a "bad mouse" try another one see if it does the same thing....This will tell you if its the mouse or some other settings.
