Good morning (more or less),

I have come across this site at least a few times in the past but never gave it much thought. After my father got some nasty Spyware on his netbook, which I was having trouble removing, (first Antivir Solution Pro, then two days later Antivir Solution Pro!) I found this page to be a huge help, notably rkill.com. Anyways, I have joined the forums because I have a few more questions regarding a separate PC that I am hoping someone can help me out with.

A brief background: I've used Linux almost exclusively for over ten years (mostly Slackware and sometimes Gentoo), however I do keep a spare dual-boot Windows XP/Vista PC for various tasks such as ripping my albums with EAC. I refuse to use Wine. A MacBook is increasingly climbing up my wish-list.

Anyways, despite my disposition towards Linux I do have quite a bit of Windows troubleshooting experience and hopefully I can be of some assistance as well.

Thank you very much,
Keith
