I have a big problem. I listen to a podcast from a website and the .mp3 file can't be read by itunes, quicktime, and windows media player. They come up with different error messages. I tried to go back to an earlier edition of quicktime (Windows XP Service Pack 2, I use Windows 7) but that didn't work either. Error 2048: Couldn't open file, because it is not a file that quicktime understands is the error that comes up for quicktime. Windows Media player say it "encountered a problem while trying to open file". Itunes does not read the file.
I got a new laptop. It is a Sony Visio and it works well. I had problems like this before with my Toshiba Satellite. I tunes would play it, but quicktime could play it and then it couldn't read it later, so i had to use Windows media player. So the file is a legitimate mp3 file, i just dont know whats wrong. Can anyone help me out?

What are the exact error messages, and where do you download these podcasts from? A link would be nice so we can test these out.
