Hi,

I am trying to create and IF formula but have had no success, could someone please tell me how to a create an IF formula for this:

I have a row of 6 boxes which i insert a "P" (B5:G5) into if they have passed.
I want the formula to write "Pass" into (AN5) if there is a "P" in all 6 boxes.

Is this possible?
Please help.

Many thanks.

Hello.

Yes it is possible. Execel has boolean operators (AND,OR,NOT) available, though they might not work as you would expect.

You may want to take a few minutes to read this article:
http://www.experiglot.com/2006/12/11/how-t...ith-and-or-not/

This should do it:
=IF(AND(B5="P",C5="P",D5="P",E5="P",F5="P",G5="P"),"Pass","Fail")
Maybe someone else could come up with a neater method.

With Regards,
The Panda
