Well I downloaded the zbrush program and the install guide but they downloaded in .php format, because I used free download manager on the links instead of firefox. I know it downloaded the program and exe because it's the right size but I don't know how to change it from a .php extension file to an .exe so I can execute the program in windows xp.
Any advice would be great cause this file is really big and I really don't want to re-download it since dial up took hours and hours the first time.

Change the file name extension to .exe.
To do this, open My Computer, Go to Tools -> Folder Options -> View Tab. Under Advanced Settings, do not check Hide extensions for known file types. Then change to extension of the file. This only works in Windows XP.
