Hello All,

I have an older Dell Dimension 8400. I guess my sound card is the c-media CMI8738/C3DX. I must have done something, because the c-media mixer will slide the wave slidebar down on it's own. I slide it up, and a couple of minutes later the sound will blank out, and I open the mixer and the wave bar is slid all the way down. I tried updated drivers, new programs to control the sound, and nothing works. I tried clicking the "add volume control to taskbar" in the control panel>sound device box, and it says it is not installed, add it in the add/remove option, but it is not there. Please help! I will be playing a game or music, and in a minute or two, no sound, it is off! It is driving my nuts. Thank you in advance for any help!

Reguards,
Rick

Make sure, your Internet Explorer is closed.
Open Task Manager and see, if you have any iexplore.exe processes running.
Let me know, if you see any.
