I'm still cleaning up my computer by goin down the list recomened by bleeping computer.

When i logged in this morning (after running chkdsk) i coudn't access bleepingcomputer.com. Google Chrome was working (I also tried IE), i could access other forum sights, but it said bleeping computer was down.

Was BleepingComputer down? Or was this a "virus"?

I ran Malware again - found nothing. A pc cleanup tool found new registry errors - after they were fixed i could access BC again.

Hard to say definitively from your description what the problem may have been. However in the future if you wonder if any site is down for everyone take a look here: Down for everyone or just me?

Thanks - I will do that.

(All this stuff starts getting me paranoid: maybe the anti virus program i installed was itself a virus, that installed viruses, them removed those viruses in self-promotion, but then secretly allowed other viruses to infect, and eventually turned off BleepingComputer.com so i wouldn't find out that the anti virus program i installed was itself a virus, that installed.....)
