Hello, I have downloaded some viruses on my machine. I am getting pop-ups now, and when I look in Windows Task Manager, there are two IEXPLORE.EXE which reappear after I kill them. Here is my HiJackThis Log. Thanks.

Hi,

The forums are really busy, that explains why logs get behind. We start with the oldest logs first. If you still need some help, please start with posting a new hijackthislog in this thread. Don't start with a new thread.
Then I'll take a look. :thumbsup:

Hello and thanks for the reply. I understand that you are very busy and appreciate the reply. I think I fixed now. However, it has been coming back before. If it comes back, I will surely post here. Thanks, again

If you want to be sure, please post a new hijackthislog, because there's more present than the problems you are noticing though...

Hello;

I see PartyPoker in your log. If you didn't install it yourself, I suggest you uninstall it and reboot.
Then check and fix next entries in hijackthis if still present.

O9 - Extra button: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\IEExtension.dll
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: PartyPoker.com - {B7FE5D70-9AA2-40F1-9C6B-12A255F085E1} - C:\Program Files\PartyPoker\IEExtension.dll

You were dealing with lop.com before. That one caused the popups, the extra toolbars etc;
As you already said, it sometimes comes back, well that's because it is most probably still present in your sheduled tasks.
So let's see if there are still some entries present there.
So perform next:

Open notepad and copy and paste next in it:

dir %Windir%\tasks /a h > files.txt
notepad files.txt

Save this as findjobs.bat , choose to save it as *all files and place it on your desktop.
This is how the batch must look afterwards: Posted Image
Doubleclick on op findjobs.bat and post the content of the txtfile you get in your next reply.

I have downloaded PartyPoker myself. If you believe that it is a security concern, I would delete it since I am not using it. Here is the log file produce from you command. The command window that appears shows "File not found" after the execution of the first (dir) command. Thanks.

Hi,

Well there are still doubts about PartyPoker, because it's getting installed with spyware also.

Ok, let's deal with the rest now so your popups won't come back anymore.

* Open notepad and copy and paste next content in it:

%systemdrive%
cd %WinDir%\Tasks
attrib -r -s -h A70C1EF293C39922.job
del A70C1EF293C39922.job
attrib -r -s -h B8A35EEE83CCD812.job
del B8A35EEE83CCD812.job
attrib -r -s -h D9568B6A96592E6E.job
del D9568B6A96592E6E.job

Save this as remjobs.bat , choose to save as *all files and place it on your desktop.
Doubleclick on remjobs.bat. A doswindow will open and close again, this is normal.

Afterwards, doubleclick on findjobs.bat again and paste the content of the txtfile you get in your next reply.

Good, they're gone now, so it must be fixed and won't come back.
How are things running now?

It has been running ok for the past couple of days. I do not see any more popups, and there are no IExplorer processes in my task manager that I can't kill. Thank you very much for your help.
