I did a stupid thing; I downloaded playall video; when I removed the program everything converted to ink files. I see the combo fix which is what brought me here. I need serious help getting my system back. I would not try this on my own. I am hoping you all can help

You may be in luck if you have System Restore activated.
If you have it activated, restore back to before the uninstall, then do another post asking how to remove it without converting many files to .ink (Thats the extension for shortcuts is it not?)

Yes...many think it's .ink but it's .lnk (for link).

<<...everything converted to ink files...>>

I find that to be somewhat unbelieveable...I guess I'd like to know just what "everything" might encompass.

When I click on it I get "file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an associate in the folder option control panel."

You mind telling us...just what "it" might be...filename and extension would be great.

If you are referring to files associated with the program you uninstalled...what are the filenames/extensions?

Even System Restore is turned into an unuable .lnk file?
Thats just unheard of....and thats beyond Geek Squad help my friend, I'm sorry, but They'd tell you to reinstall Windows...That usually erases everything.
