My device manager says i have no drivers for 2 devices..when i update it says unable to find driver.." Multimedia Controller" + "PCI Simple Communication Controller" I recently installed Windows7 ultimate and these drivers were not included for some reason!!maybe this is why my microphone don't work!! can someone help. katesdad..

What are the specs (especially mfr & model #) of the machine? Depending on how old the machine is, you may not be able to get drivers for those devices. Your best bet is to go to the mfr's website to see if they have Win 7/Vista drivers available.
