Hi, I have followed the instructions in the following thread:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-remo...p-security-2010

However, normal mode is completely locked by the virus. The only way I am amble to run rkill.com is in safe mode and when I reboot into normal mode it is still locked and I am unable to get past DS2010 virus message. I then tried again, followed by running the MBAM in safe mode too. Again when rebooting I cannot go any further - the DS2010 virus stops me clicking on anything other than its own message.

Has anyone experienced this and can anyone help please?

Are there any other threads that I may have missed that relate to such a problem?

Thanks in advance and hope to hear from anyone that can help soon.

Matt

Hello,

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. Since you are unable to get into Normal Mode, please create the logs in Safe Mode. Be sure to indicate you've done that and why in the new topic you shall create.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to try to resolve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

Hi OB, thanks for your prompt reply to my post but my Dad today decided time was of the essence and went running to the Geek Squad in Best Buy and paid them $100+ to get it removed! That will teach him to make back ups ten the $100+ could have been put towards a new machine!

Thanks again for getting back to me quickly... much appreciated.
