Hi,
I really hope someone is able to help me- I know that there are lots of other threads on this topic but I've read through as many as I can find and it still hasn't worked.
I have the Antimalware Doctor virus (also having pop ups which say 'antivirus software alert' and a security warning popping up from taskbar). The virus also won't let me open internet explorer or safari and keeps directing me to 'porno.com'. lovely.
Malwarebytes was already installed on this computer, and I have run it. It finds one infection, which I then follow the intructions and remove however after I restart nothing has changed, and if I run the scan again it finds the exact same virus. I've also done this in safe mode.
I've had a look at the processes but I can't find any of the ones people have mentioned in previous posts, and I don't know much about computers so I don't want to mess about with it too much.
can anyone offer me advice? the computer is my flatmate's, she is away at the moment and I'd like to fix it before she gets back (so she doesn't kill me).
thanks,
rachel
