I'm not sure if this is a Windows Vista issue or hardware, so I apologise in advance if I've posted this in the wrong forum.

I recently wiped my itunes library from my Ipod and placed my fiances itunes library (from a different laptop) onto the ipod. Now, I'm ready to replace with my original music back onto the Ipod again.

However, when I sync my Ipod I will generally get to the 500 - 1000 song mark (out of 3000) and the computer will then "hibernate". I don't know if "hibernate" is the right word though, as the computer won't come back to life when I touch the keyboard and I need to do a hard reboot to get the computer working again!

No screen saver chosen, no hibernate option or sleep option chosen (after a certain amount of time). I tried doing the sync in the background but the computer just froze at a certain point.

Running Windows Vista with the most recent itunes version. Happy to provide further details if you can assist!
