All of a sudden i am not getting any wireless internet connection powered through windows.
Everything was fine and upon booting the computer Windows was no longer dealing with my wireless network but instead a secondary program was being Intel ProSet wireless. Although wireless was connected it was increasingly slow, Start up was also a long process and my virus protection stopped working and i have been unable to restart the virus protection software to even scan the system..
Had a look at the WZC located in services and it is set to automatic (yet does not start), when i manually try to start i get a Error message 1068 stating that a dependancy group or service failed to start.

I am using the free version of AVAST version 5. I have unistalled it and re installed it. It still will not work and states computer is unsecured. If a start program nothing happens. It seems i can still scan the computer which i have done and cleared any bad things, although it still states unsecure and i can not restart program (It has a cross in system tray)

I am getting a feeling i have been attacked by a virus but not sure what to do now.

Can anyone offer any advice please.

Did you try checking the settings of the Intel proset wireless? There is an option there that should disable it an allow WZC to be used.

Sounds like its lock by the intel proset wireless. Try this.

Run Msconfig and disable the intel proset utility. Restart the computer and check if WZC loads.

1068 error is when one of wzc dependencies has failed to start if you go to start>control panel>administrative tasks>services scroll down to remote proceedure call(rpc) checked it isn't stopped if it is click on start. If it is disabled as well click the drop down menu and set to automatic and click apply then click on start you will need to be using the an administrator account to do any of these changes. It may be part of the problem of why your anti-virus won't start many components rely on rpc.
