I'm a newbie here. Just wanted to say hi, and express my thanks to Grinier for that article of his: How to Remove AV Security Suite (Uninstall Guide). :flowers:

I caught that malware yesterday from an Abode download. I already had Malawarebytes' Anti-Malware installed, but the bug wouldn't let me access it. :trumpet:

I have Ubuntu installed on my computer too. I went over there, downloaded rkill onto a CD, then went back over to the Windows side. I had to go back and download eXplorer (rkill disguised) like Grinier said, went back to Windows, changed the Internet Options and ran the program. I kept running the program over and over, until AV Security Suite vanished. Then I ran Malawarebyte's Anti-Malware. That took all night and in the morning I nuked all the bad boys in quarantine. I'm upgrading my spyware and other protections as we speak.

Couldn't have done it without Grinier and this website. Thanks again!

PS I think hackers who create that stuff should get large, very painful boils in very delicate places. I'm just saying....
