Hello,

I have AVG and Zone Alarm and do not have any viruses or spyware that I am aware of. I have also cleared my cache several times, the problem still exists.

When I type the url of my website, another website that is hosted by the same company appears. My hosting company claims that they gave me a unique IP address for my domain last night and the issue should have been resolved but it's still happening on my end.

Has my browser been hijacked?

Please help!

My website address is

Any advice would be helpful. I flushed my dns, cache, restarted computer, nothing is working.

Hi .

I may be missing something...but if you have an issue that was caused by your ISP...then it's an issue that has to be resolved between your ISP and you.

I have no idea why you would suspect a browser hijack in such a case.

They keep telling me that "it's working fine for us" so it appears that it could be something on MY END ... Hence the request for advice.

Any ideas on why only "I" am getting redirected to another website? My friend also tested it and was connected to the correct site. When I type my url, I get a photography site.

I cant tell anything from that post due to the hiding of the domain name from the nslookup. I have nothing to compare it too.

Have you tried downloading a different web browser and entering the url?

Opera, Chrome, and Firefox are all good alternatives to IE.

I only use Firefox but just checked it on IE and it works fine in IE. This is just weird.

So now from your PM your computer knows where your site is.

Can you now perform the following:

ipconfig /flushdns

and make sure all your browsers are closed.

That is about the 12th time I flushed DNS but it appears to have finally worked. I also cleared all of my Java but not sure if that applies.

Hopefully the problem is resolved now ... Thank you very much!
