My friend's computer is running extremely slow, and he asked me if there was anything I could do. I have a HijackThis log at the end of this post and I would be greatful if someone could help out. Problems include that it takes a very long time to open or do anything, things start freezing if you do too much, too fast. I've tried using two online antiviruses and they both froze halfway through scanning.

Did you install VNC on your computer?

Now please Download LSPFix from:

LSP-Fix

Disconnect from the Internet and close all Internet Explorer Windows. Run the program and check the "I know what I'm doing" Button and place all listings of osmim.dll into the remove section by clicking on the button that points to the right. When all instances of this dll are in the Remove section. Press the finish button.

Then Reboot.

To see a tutorial on how to use this program click the link below:

Using LSP-Fix to remove LSP Spyware & Hijackers

Then,

Download killbox here:

KillBox

Unzip the folder to your desktop.

Start Killbox.exe

- When it is open, enter C:\WINDOWS\java\baswms.exe into the field labeled "Full path of file to delete".

Select the Delete on reboot option.

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it. Do not reboot when it asks.

- Enter C:\WINDOWS\java\Packages\keycab.exe into the field labeled "Full path of file to delete".

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it. Do not reboot when it asks.

- Enter C:\WINDOWS\Config\vbun.exe into the field labeled "Full path of file to delete".

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it. Now reboot when it asks.

Your computer will reboot.

Then,

Please down load the file below that matches your operating system. Once it is downloaded, run the program.

If you are running Windows XP/NT/2000 please download this file:

http://www.jayloden.com/AIMFix.exe

If you are running Windows 95/98*Grinler please download this file:

http://www.jayloden.com/AIMFix_98.exe

Then,

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:
