Hi all, I'm currently trying to help a mate with an acer 3630 lappy. Original issue is cannot find dns to issue ip. I have ran latest def of malwarebytes which found koobface worms. This has got rid of the virus but i still cannot get on the net. I can get an ip but i cannot ping or tracert to bbc etc... All devices and drivers are ok. Combofix detail's below (i have managed to get the recovery console in too). I also have checked the host file for anything strange but only entry is local host adapter. I have checked both registry and files and folders for koobface and found nothing. Please can someone point me in the right direction to get the laptop back on line as i dont want to give up and format. Many thanks. S.

Attached File  log2.txt   7.15KB   12 downloads

Sry, forgot to add that i have ran ubuntu over it and can connect ok so to me must be a Windows issue.

EDIT: Moved from XP forum to Malware Removal Logs, ComboFix log attachment ~ Hamluis.

Sry if posted in wrong forum as above, i belive this to be a windows issue now not virus related.
