Strange but the mousepad on this hp laptop(one of my friends) stops working as soon as he plugs in the power lead.
I've never seen this before but |I'm sure its happened to some one so any ideas or reccomendations are much appreciated

I think you mean "touchpad"...in any case, has anyone tried a regular mouse connection?

Yes a regular usb mouse will work, but what I wanted to know is why the "touchpad" wont work as soon as I plug in the charger.
Without the charger I can use the touchpad no problem
Any help?

I would remove/uninstall the touchpad drivers (via Device Manager) and then reboot and allow them to reinstall.

I would assume that they are damaged.
