Last night I left my HP laptop for an hour and came back to see it was infected by this EVIL AV security suite virus. I repeatedly tried to remove it as it said, and as I've done with the last virus I had: 1.) Run in safe mode w/ networking 2.) run rkill 3.) download and run malwarebytes. Every time it would scan about 9,000 files my computer just shut down...as if it was a trigger. I fumed for a few hours then restored my comp. to it's last save point and tried removing it through normally and it supposedly worked. it took a couple of hours to scan and said 8 files were infected and removed. Now everything SEEMED to be working great, but then I noticed google chrome won't open, and I'm still occasionally being redirected on mozilla, especially when looking for anything on the virus. I then tried to do it in safemode again..and once again once it gets to about 9K files scanned and three infections found my laptop just shuts off. Anyone got any suggestions because I'm about to punch a wall. Is the virus still here, but acting like a sleeper cell or are the after effects just that bad?

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues and what you have done to try to solve them.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.
