Windows XP Pro 2002 SP3, Intel Core 2CPU, T7200 2.00GHz, 2GB of RAM

I am trying to repair my son's computer after multiple malware attacks. I think I've completely gotten rid of AV Security Suites with Malwarebytes. As far as I can tell, all files will now open and programs will now execute along with the task manager. Now, whenever I click on a topic in google search I am redirected to add pages. The sites vary each time. Sometimes I can get to the first page I click on, but from then on I get redirected. I am able to open the pages however if I open in a new tab. The same will happen in firefox and sometimes it will say that the computer is acting suspiciously and I might have a virus and it looks like it scanning your computer (which I immediately close the window. I have Symatec Antivirus Corporation Vs 10.1.4.400 (he's a college student and this is what their network has them use), Zone Alarm, and Malwarebytes. Please help. Thank you,
Momcos

PS: I originally posted in another forum topic but I think I wasn't supposed to, and I should post here.

Hello momcos.

I have noticed that you have posted both here and in our Malware Removal Logs forum. Since we do not allow double posting on this board that leaves you with a choice; would you like to seek assistance here (usually a quicker response, but you may end up being referred to the logs forum for expert help if the infection is serious), or in the Malware Removal Logs forum? (3-5 day wait, but will receive expert help in comprehensive malware removal).

For the time being, I am closing this topic to avoid confusion. Please send me a PM regarding which path you wish to take.
