Hi there. Thanks for your help. I have been conversing with "boopme" for a few days and trying to figure out why my browser goes where someone else wants it to go and not where "I" want it to go. smile.gif Topic referenced is here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/328049/trojan-problem/ ~ OB

I have run Malware software and supposedly cleaned/several malitious programs off (log posted below). I ran Superspyware and cleaned over 300 off. Rootkit GMER did not suggest I had any issues. Yet, after all, my browser still goes to "network-traffic delay.com" constantly. Boopme suggestged I post the following logs for you to review. Also see attached. Again, thanks for any advice you can provide.

Hello PrinceDon

Welcome to BleepingComputer smile.gif
========================

Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.

Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

If I am helping you and have not responded for 48 hours please send me a pm as I don't always get notifications.

My help is always free, however, if you would like to make a donation to me for the help I have provided please click here Posted Image

Ok, now whatever has affected my computer has disabled all of my Virus, Adware, and Firewall protection. I can't reactivate it.

I reactivated my Windows Firwall, but that is all that it will let me run right now.

See attached ComboFix log.

Well, as of today, my PC appears to be running perfectly. I didn't do anything after running combo fix except for maybe boot one time. After the boot, my Browser was working fine but my anti virus was not. I had to go somewhere so I just shut down. When I fired up this morning, the browser works and my anti virus appears normal. I guess I'm fixed!

Thanks for all your help. I'll give it a few days before I feel sure it is fixed, but it looks good right now.

Question... has anything I have posted in these forums, especially logs or attachements, put my PC at risk from people reading these forums? Can people see my attachments other than your staff? should I do anything to prevent issues from my posts alone?

Thanks Again!
Don

Any user can see what is provided here as far as logs but there is nothing in the logs other than operating system information but nothing that can be used against you.
If you want me to remove them I can or you can but it will not hurt to leave them.
Please follow the other steps above to check for leftover stragglers and we will wrap it up. smile.gif

No only the 2 files needed to get deleted nothing more.

Please submit the following file to one of these online file scanners.
(All you have to do is copy and paste the file path into the box when you click on Browse then once you have done that click on the open button then submit)

c:\windows\system32\SYSTEM

This will produce a report after the scan is complete, please copy and paste those results in your next post.

Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

If I am helping you and have not responded for 48 hours please send me a pm as I don't always get notifications.

My help is always free, however, if you would like to make a donation to me for the help I have provided please click here Posted Image
