Hello michaelleewebb

Welcome to BleepingComputer smile.gif
==========================
  • Download OTL to your desktop.
  • Double click on OTL to run it.
  • When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output.
  • Under the Standard Registry box change it to All.
  • Under Custom scan's and fixes section paste in the below in bold

    netsvcs
    %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.*
    %systemroot%\*. /mp /s
    CREATERESTOREPOINT
    %systemroot%\system32\*.dll /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\Tasks\*.job /lockedfiles
    %systemroot%\System32\config\*.sav
    %systemroot%\system32\drivers\*.sys /90
    %systemroot%\system32\Spool\prtprocs\w32x86\*.dll

  • Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check.
  • Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
    • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTL.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply.
====================
Download the following GMER Rootkit Scanner from Here
  • Download the randomly named EXE file to your Desktop. Remember what its name is since it is randomly named.
  • Double click on the new random named exe file you downloaded and run it. If prompted about the Security Warning and Unknown Publisher go ahead and click on Run
  • It may take a minute to load and become available.
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run a full scan...click on NO, then use the following settings for a more complete scan..
  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Ensure the following are UNCHECKED
  • IAT/EAT
  • Drives/Partition other than Systemdrive (typically only C:\ should be checked)
  • Show All (don't miss this one)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to finish.
  • Once done click on the [Save..] button, and in the File name area, type in "ark.txt" or it will save as a .log file which cannot be uploaded to your post.
  • Save it where you can easily find it, such as your desktop
  • **Caution** Rootkit scans often produce false positives. Do NOT take any action on any "<--- ROOKIT" entries
  • Click OK and quit the GMER program.
  • Note: On Firefox you need to go to Tools/Options/Main then under the Downloads section, click on Always ask me where to save files so that you can choose the name and where to save to, in this case your Desktop.
  • Post that log in your next reply.

Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

If I am helping you and have not responded for 48 hours please send me a pm as I don't always get notifications.

My help is always free, however, if you would like to make a donation to me for the help I have provided please click here Posted Image

same as before. lets say i start the computer. dont do anything. in time, at a random moment, suddenly iexplorer will open to a random site, porn site travel site etc. i noticed in task manager that iexplorer is running in the background all the time. if i kill the process it is restarted by something after 3 or 4 seconds.
thats the facts, i would like to add something i think:
i notice in the GMER log file something about "senfilt.sys", i believe that to be the sound card driver, i thinks the sound is acting alittle funny, it won't hold at the same volume. thats just something i think, i am no expert.

This is a rar file if you do not have a programme to open it then download and install Peazip

Extract Remover.exe to your desktop
Double click on Remover.exe
It will show a Black screen with some data on it
Right click on the screen and select Mark
Then take your mouse and select the info in the black screen then hit the enter key to copy it to the clipboard.

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan or rootkit.

This type of infection has the capabilities to allows hacker to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and download and execute files.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

How Do I Handle Possible Identity Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?
When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

We can still clean this machine but I can't guarantee that it will be 100% secure afterwards. Let me know what you decide to do.

If you still want to clean it please do the following

===================
Download ComboFix from one of these locations:

Link 1
Link 2

* IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop

  • Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools

  • Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.

  • Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware.

When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt in your next reply.
Please do not pm for help, post it in the forums instead.

Now that the Recovery Console is installed please reboot the system instead of booting normally you will see 2 options one is the Recovery Console.
Select it and then press enter.
Once the Recovery Console loads up, you will have to type in a number that corresponds to your Windows installation. This is normally just 1. Press Enter and then type in the Administrator password.
If no password then leave it blank then hit enter.
It should look like this
At the next prompt type in Fixmbr and hit Enter and type Y at the next prompt then hit enter again.
Then it will say you have successfully written a new Master Boot Record.
At this point type in exit then the computer will reboot.

After reboot run the MBRCheck program again and post the results here.

was unable to start recovery console from the harddisk. i got the following error:
NTLDR is compressed press Ctrl -atl- del. i got a windows xp installation disk and ran recovery contsol from there. it gave lots of warning about changing the mbr but i processed anyway. afterwards i ran mbrcheck again as you instructed. below is the log. it looks good from here right now. i don't see iexplorer runniing in the background. it may be fixed.

MBRCheck, version 1.1.0

Yes the mbr is now clean.
Good work.

1. Please open Notepad
  • Click Start , then Run
  • type in notepad in the Run Box then hit ok.

2. Now copy/paste the entire content of the codebox below into the Notepad window:

CODE
Folder::
c:\documents and settings\Owner\Local Settings\Application Data\tndlsyqib

RegLock::
[HKEY_USERS\.Default\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\User Preferences]

3. Save the above as CFScript.txt

4. Then drag the CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe as depicted in the animation below. This will start ComboFix again.
