Like many others I have a virus which is redirecting every search engine I use.

I have run scans so far using:

McAfee
Malwarebytes
Hijack this
Hitman Pro 3.5.6

Between them they have found and removed many trojans but I'm still having the redirect issue.

Can anyone help me remove this!?

This worked for me. I was getting search redirects leading to infected sites.

ALSO, Windows Update would not work! After running the TDSSKILLER, Windows Update worked properly, and there were no more search redirects.

Can anyone tell me why there is no trace of this reported by HIJACKTHIS?

I have a fairly simple set up - the log is not very long, but I couldn't find any thing in it that looked unfamliar. I've been using Hijackthis for a while - I'm comfortable reading and understanding it (for the most part) but I couldn't find anything that looked amiss.

Thank you.
