So I just installed a fresh version of Win Xp Sp3 and everthing worked okish. I have some missing drivers but thats to be expected. My wireless keyboard and mouse (no other name on them besides HP) both feed to a usb reciever. The keyboard works fine, but the wireless mouse does not. So I use my little pocket usb mouse. Works for now. After I installed my network adapter driver a bubble on the tool bar poped up saying that "usb human interface something or other" is working. Two seconds after that the usb mouse quit working. If I wait thirty seconds or so and plug it into a different port it will work for another two seconds then die again. I have tried five mice. Three usb (same story) wireless (no good although the keyboard is still working fine) and even an old mouse with a standard mouse port does nothing. I really can use some help on this one guys. Thanks

If you have an HP system...the basic drivers for the system should be downloadable from the HP website. I suggest visiting same.
