I just bought a used ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb, and whenever I try to put it in it overheats and shuts down the computer 2 minutes later. Now I can't seem to install it. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have a plug and play moniter.

If it helps it also overheats when it isnt being used. Like it is plugged into the AGP slot and has the power cord hooked up to it and it still overheats.

it could possibly be a fried video card, like it cant tell when it doesnt need to be used etc. also it could be that the AGP slot is fried on your mobo.
