None of my games are working anymore?????

okay this computer is really starting to piss me of first its ungodly slow even though i have dual core 3.0 proccerors i mean reallllly slow, second almost none of my games or programs work like sony vegas says i dont have any sound device and it deleted cs3
alcohal stopped working had to reinstall it
and then my games
hotrod american street drag says "could not find any compatible direct 3d devices"
hotrod garage to glory simply doesnt work i click and it does nothing
crc says "create hd 3d device"
Yes i dont want to here the dummest answer in the world which is are the games compatible with your video card of course they are why else would i have said none of my games are working ANYMORE!
all my drivers are up to date and everything is fine

Kindly post you PC specifics,

Specially your OS.

When did the issue occurs and the what was installed/removed prior to that date?
Hardware tech when I was in college.
1st job was a network support for SOHO
2nd job was lappy tech
3rd Job way out of my league but its nice...

Just a thought here, but it says direct3d is failing, so why not try and reinstall directx?
