Windows 7 booting is very slow !

Hi guys this is my new comp.
My comp config:
Intel i3 processor 2.93 GHz.
4 GB DDR3 RAM.
320 GB hard drive.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Edition.
My Problem:
The booting time of my PC is very slow.My PC takes 2 Minutes to display my desktop.
I donno whats happening.My old XP PC is booting faster than this.
My sidebar is also not working.Whenever I add a gadget it looks like this.

I would call Dell and ask them. Sounds like a hardware issue to me.
