Howdy,Ok guys i'm trying to settle an argument with 3 friends, heres what i need to know !!
Can anyone give me the name of a virus, trojan or worm you are using for your source that doesn't need a registry entry to operate ???
Will system restore remove all viruses or trojans on a hard drive if you ran it ????

Thanks

I don't recall the name of the particular spyware or virus but I think it involves k.exe or other one letter executables. They are added to the root of the C: drive (ie C:\k.exe) and are run when you boot, as is everything at the root of C: and therefore don't need a registry entry.

System Restore is more likely to restore viruses. AV scans consistently find them archived there.
